Smart Battery Management System
Product Overview
Most faults of UPS and battery systems are caused by batteries, so it is very important to implement real-time monitoring and management on the battery system. iTeaQ smart battery management system (SBMS) can monitor batteries in online mode and give early warning, avoiding unnecessary loss caused by battery failures.
With online battery detection equipment, batteries are automatically detected cell by cell to reduce the difficulty and risk of manual detection and avoid negligence. With real-time and statistical data of the online detection equipment, hidden danger of batteries is automatically analyzed to locate a faulty battery. Analysis and processing is completed on the equipment side by ordinary personnel, instead of specialists. Equipment data can be directly transmitted to the background monitoring system to complete statistical reports without manual statistics. Battery data is collected uninterruptedly to avoid the probability of battery failures in maintenance intervals.
System Structure
The SBMS system is a modular structure which consists of the main control module, battery detection module, current module, and other modules.
The main control module is responsible for collection and commissioning, data analysis, data statistics, display, and external communication. A 5.7-inch display (4U high) is included.
The battery detection module is responsible for collecting voltage, internal resistance, and temperature of each cell in a battery.
The current module is responsible for collecting current of a battery group, and it can measure ambient temperature through the extended temperature module.
Technical Features
Advanced internal resistance measurement method
The AC/DC adaptive resistance test method applies to a variety of test scenarios. The method boasts high measurement precision and prevents impact of ripple on the system.
Redundant communication control method:
Using the distributed control principle, each detection unit of the system is a separate module. The detection units rely on the industrial high-speed processors to measure the voltage, temperature and internal resistance of batteries. The units are connected through buses in loop mode to improve the communication reliability and avoid communication failures that are caused due to line power failure.
Convenient construction and maintenance:
Engineering installation is extremely convenient. Battery data is measured by the distributed modules and displayed through the main control modules, and units are connected through buses. One to four cables are led out from a battery cabinet, so the battery monitor construction amount is greatly reduced. With small and compact volume, the battery module can be directly stuck to the battery surface. The monitoring unit adopts a 19-inch rack structure, and can be directly installed in a standard rack, or mounted on wall and the battery cabinet.
Application
The SBMS applies to power-frequency UPSs, UPSs, and modular UPSs for cell real-time detection and diagnosis and alarm of batteries, as well as DC UPSs and phase-controlled DC UPSs for cell real-time detection and diagnosis and alarm of batteries (covering 2V, 6V, and 12V).
Flexible battery group configuration method
